Musician Audition Information
Applicants for an Audition should provide a recent CV.
The San Juan Symphony performs four subscription concerts per season, plus a family concert and a Nutcracker cycle in December. The four subscription concerts are performed twice per cycle, once in Durango, Colorado, and once in Farmington, New Mexico. Current per-service rates are $64/service, and each Principal receives an additional $75 Principal Fee per cycle. A mileage stipend, orchestra dinner, and overnight accommodations are also provided.

OPENING: DIRECTOR, SAN JUAN SYMPHONY CHAMBER SINGERS
The San Juan Symphony Chamber Singers seeks a dynamic and experienced Choral Director to lead the 24-voice auditioned ensemble in Durango, CO. This part-time role (approx. 5 hours/week) includes selecting diverse repertoire, conducting rehearsals and performances, recruiting and auditioning singers, and collaborating with Symphony leadership on concert planning, fundraising, and promotion. The ideal candidate holds a degree in music with choral conducting experience, demonstrates strong leadership and communication skills, and shares our commitment to artistic excellence and community engagement.
