Musically Speaking

The Musically Speaking lecture series is provided by our Music Director, Thomas Heuser, in advance of each subscription Symphony performance. The free lectures represent an exceptional opportunity for individuals to enrich their understanding of music while collecting valuable insights into the Symphony’s musical process. Thomas imparts his knowledge in an amusing and approachable format, ensuring an enjoyable and memorable experience for all attendees.

The events take place at the Powerhouse Science Center in Durango from 6 to 7 pm on the Wednesday evening before each subscription concert weekend. Light appetizers are served, with a cash bar available. Recordings of the in-person events will be made available on our SJS YouTube channel for on-demand viewing.
