This October, the San Juan Symphony is proud to bring our Inside the Orchestra program to Farmington, giving 4th graders in the Farmington Municipal Schools district the chance to experience the power of live symphonic music, many for the very first time. On October 6th, the children of our community will fill the concert hall, surrounded by professional musicians, as they learn about the instruments, the music, and the joy of discovery.
The featured work for this inaugural Farmington Inside the Orchestra performance is Ottorino Respighi’s Pines of Rome—a lush and vivid orchestral piece that captures scenes of Roman life and nature through music. This dramatic and cinematic work invites students to experience how composers use sound to paint pictures and express emotion.
